Holy Spirit Gives Rest

Jesus was born in a different way of the kings and rulers of the world. Why and What is the will of God?

The kings and rulers of the world usually are portrayed to be powerful and mighty. Through wars and fights, kings of this earth used to trample over everyone. They use all their authority to overrule others and lord it over them. However, God wanted to bring a world of peace. There is a prophecy in Isaiah 2:4-5, which says that God wants to bring a world without war and kingdom of peace being portrayed.

The Pharisees from the Jewish circles used to tie heavy loads onto people's shoulders but they failed to lift a finger to move them, according to Mathew 23:4. Continuing on from Mathew 23:5-7, we can see that people like to be served rather than being served.

The will of God through Jesus being born in a manger, shows us that how God intends man to be humble before him. Often the truth looks like a paradox which we men are very unfamiliar with. Most of us look for glory and power, however God expects man to seek the way of humility in order to be truly exalted, according to Philippians 2: 5-11. Supposing man to be different from the image of Pharisees, Jesus said in Mathew 23: 8-12 that the greatest among you will be your servant.

Mother of Zebedee’s sons had placed similar request of longing for higher power and ruling over others. As per Mathew 20: 20-28 Jesus taught his disciples that they should be different from the rulers of the Gentiles. Their high officials exercise authority over others, however whoever wants to be the first must be the slaves just as Jesus who came to serve rather than being served.
